Hola... how are you guys doing? coming back here after what seems like an eternity! But better late than never. And I am back. :-)
A lot happened over the last 10 months or so since I have been away. Awesome, Good , bad , ugly. All.
Awesome - Met the Master! Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar! July 5th, 2012 will always stay etched in the mind. Shook hands with him, got clicked with him. Had so much in mind I will say to him.. but the moment I shook hands, all I could mutter out was "You are the legend! Hats off". And he is the humblest guys I would have seen. He still blushes when someone praises him! Can you beat that!
Good - Been going around a lot of places. Greece, Monaco, Nice, Barcelona, Mallorca, Rome, Venice, Florence, Switzerland (again!), Paris (yet again!) and some nearby places in The Netherlands. So been kinda busy pumping the money back into the not-so-upbeat European economy. :-)
For me, Greece and Spain were the best trips! I luv beaches anyways! And Santorini island in Greece is so so beautiful. On second thoughts, Nice was not bad either. :-)
Some of those trips were with family. Yes.. finally was able to get mom, dad and sis here and take them around. Needless to say, they were impressed! And since mom dad have seen the Yash Chopra romance from Switzerland, they loved it the most. :-) Good 6 weeks with them here. Good food, good fun.
And the other trips were with friends. The best nights of all the trips were:
1. A friend's birthday celebration in Santorini, Greece. Real awesome fun that was! A whole night of drinking and dancing. With me being able to convince the bar owner to keep the happy hours on for our table through the night! ;-) Sometimes I do do justice to by last name. :-D
2. Sitting in HRC, Mallorca with a dear friend. And talking about weird things. College things. Random things. And she was so excited about her dress.. that she forgot to get herself clicked in it!
Another super incident was in Nice. While ordering beer, I am used to ordering a large beer. Here, in Holland, that means 50 cl glass of beer. I ordered the same way in Nice. And what I got was a 1.5 l glass of beer!!!!!
Other than this, work has been good too. Worked hard for a couple of projects and got good results in the end. It is a satisfying feeling. But as is anywhere, that feeling vanishes with the next appraisal. :-) No complaints though.
Bad - a very very dear friend parted ways. Didn't want her to go. But couldn't stop her either. Life was good with her here with me. She was like a child. Innocent and bubbly. We partied together, went on trips together, had so much fun together. But as they say.. all good things come to an end. This one came much sooner than I wanted though. I miss her!
Ugly - Don't want to talk about it really. Life's good overall.
Too much random blaberring. Just trying to get in touch with this place again. Since I have promised numerous times before, but have not been able to keep with that promise, I will not promise this time. But I will try to be regular here!
